Altered Vintage Style Frame

I got these cute little frames from oriental trading company so that I could alter them as needed.
I decided to use some Stampin Up paper I found along with some cute embellishments.  The paper is inked up to give it that old feel and some gold flakes were added.  Before adding ebellies, I used mod podge to seal the deal and keep the paper protected.

Have a great week,
Meighen

Spring and Stamp Inspired Card

I thought this was such a beautiful quote from Eleanor Roosevelt that I decided to make a card out of it.

What you will need:

Embossing folder (this one is produced from Darice and I got it at Pat Katans)
Stamp (made by Hampton Ink)
White gel pen
blink
metal embellishments (called Metal Works)
I also used some Copics to color in 3 of the flowers

Have a great Day,
Meighen

Altered Wood Box

Hi everyone, just a really easy project using only a few things.

Here is what you will need:

Mod Podge in Matte and glitter
Scallop Punches of various sizes
Wood box ( i got mine at Joanns for a buck)
A little time.

Put it all together and what do you get.........................................

< -------------------Goes from this......

To this------------------------------->

Each side was done on different days to allow for complete drying.  I used my Mod Podge as my adhesive and sealer.  Matte was used first on the bottom and top of the punches and then after that dried I used the Glitter Mod Podge to add sparkle.

You can even use your Cuttle Bug to add dimension to the paper before punching it out too.

Hope this gives you plenty of ideas.

Hugs and Blessings,
Meighen

Valentines Day Card

HI everyone, it's that time again.  Time to show how much you love someone by giving them a card , flowers, chocolate (my favorite), or a Valentine exchange at school for your kids.

Today's card is featuring a Simply Betty Digi.  Her name is Rio and she loves chocolate as much as I do.

Little Rio is colored using My new Copic markers. This is my first year playing with these markers, heck for that matter even using these markers period.  I am pretty happy with the way she turned out.

The boarders are punched using a Martha Stewart Doily punch.   The hardware and little plastic flowers are from Stampin Up.

Glitter was used on her eyes as well as all around here.
The gorgeous had crocheted flowers to the right were purchased off of Etsy.  I  also have red and pink stick pins on there but not sure where I got them.

The cute sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Love Notes.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I did making it.

Have a great February,
Meighen

Thank You Card

As we all know, after a holiday of giving ( you know gift receiving) giving, it is usually time for those pesky but thoughtful thank you cards.  There is no better way than to thank someone than with a handmade thank you card.  Here is a simple card with just a couple pieces of paper that you can make with whatever stamps you want to give that heart felt THANKS.

What I used:
 paper sizes
8 1/2 X 5 1/2 9 Folded in half (pink)
2 X 5 white
3 X 4 pink ( embossed with cuttlebug dots)
2 X 3 1/2 white

The beautiful butterfly stamp is from Inadinkado.  I used 3 different colors of Le Plume markers to give the butterfly this multicolored effect.

The small butterflies are punched using a Fiskars punch. I used white paper and colored it with the three colors I used on the butterfly  then punched them out.

I finished with a thank you stamp and a few silver embellishments.
Super easy and quick.

Hope you enjoy and get some great ideas.

Hugs and Blessings for the New Year,
Meighen
