Butterfly Sympathy Card

Good morning everyone.  I hope you are all having a great day.  A coupke of days ago a co-worker had a death in the family so I wanted to make a card for her.
The cool thing about this card is that I let my paper be ab element to the card. I used the DCWV Mariposa Stack.
The other things I used are Straight from the nest cartridge butterfly cut at 2 inches, Scrappy MOMs Stamps, bling, ink to age the edges, silver gel pen and crystal effects from Stampin UP.

Here to the left you can see the path the butterfly is taking by the silver gel pen and you can also see the shine of the crystal effects on the paper and butterfly.
Silver was also added to the foliage on the paper.

It is never easy losing a friend or family member, but a homemade card will put a smile on their face.

Hugs and Blessings,

  2. Your card is lovely. I am always looking for ways to make my cards and layouts special, and using the paper as one of the elements is a perfect way to add an understated charm. You did this beautifully. Please give your co-worker my best. They are blessed to have you there for support.
